Even when it’s hot outside, sometimes you need to wear socks. Ankle socks are a great option to wear with sneakers when it’s hot outside, and these are super easy to knit with self-striping (or solid) yarn.
This pair of socks is knitted toe-up in one piece with fingering weight yarn. The pattern is written for the magic loop method (for 2 needles) but can easily be adjusted for double-pointed needles (4 or 5 needles) as well.
This pattern is a perfect match with self-striping yarn because the heel construction does not break the striping pattern.
