Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DLC Announcement

So the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DLC is a collection of tracks that have been featured in previous games in the series.

This means that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will fast become a hub for anybody wanting to play their favorite tracks in the series with updated graphics and updated mechanics. This does of course also mean that Mario Kart 9, whenever it does release, will have to contend with this huge swathe of tracks and promise something more.

The DLC itself will launch in a total of six waves:

  • Wave One (Golden Dash Cup & Lucky Cat Cup)
  • Wave Two (Turnip Cup & Propeller Cup)
  • Wave Three (Rock Cup & Moon Cup)
  • Wave Four (Fruit Cup & Boomerang Cup)
  • Wave Five (Feather Cup & Cherry Cup)
  • Wave Six (Acord Cup & Spiny Cup)

As of right now, only the first wave of courses has been released, with no release date for any further courses. The courses in Wave One are as follows:

  • Paris Promenade
  • Toad Circuit
  • Choco Mountain
  • Coconut Hall
  • Tokyo Blur
  • Shroom Ridge
  • Sky Garden
  • Ninja Hideaway

UPDATE: Wave 2 is rumored to have the following tracks:

  • New York Minute (Mario Kart Tour)
  • Sydney Sprint (Mario Kart Tour)
  • LA Laps (Mario Kart Tour)
  • Koopa Cape (Mario Kart Wii)
  • Maple Treeway (Mario Kart Wii)
  • Mario Circuit (Super Mario Kart)
