There are a range of new features and tweaks in iOS 16 developer beta 5. The release notes above detail all of these but the main ones are as follows:
iOS 16 beta 5 battery percentage in status bar
One of the biggest visual changes in the new iOS 16 Developer Beta 5 is the inclusion of an exact percentage figure for your remaining battery life in the top right of the screen. This can be toggled on and off in under ‘Battery‘ within ‘Settings‘ if you’re not a fan.
This change applies to the iPhone 12, iPhone 13, iPhone X, and XS but not the 5.4-inch iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 11, or iPhone XR.
iOS 16 beta 5 changes to notification sounds
The ‘Play Sound‘ option in the ‘Find My‘ application now generates a new sound in iPhones, which is a bit louder than previously. Additionally, pinging your iPhone from an Apple Watch causes the same sound to be generated.

A new functionality has been added to screenshots in iOS beta 5. Now, after you take a screenshot and edit it as necessary, instead of just the ‘Done‘ and ‘Delete‘ options, you can also ‘Copy and Delete‘ the picture, meaning you can quickly paste it somewhere without it taking space up in your phone’s storage.

The latest developer beta for iOS 16 includes a miniature version of the music visualizer, which you can see and control from the lock screen on your device.
