As the electric scooter market booms, Razer shifts gears with the NIU X Razer SQi Edition

Last Updated:

Razer CEO Min-Liang Tan just announced via Twitter that they have partnered up with NIU, a brand many know for its variety of electric scooters.

The partnership brings us an absolutely stunning collaboration – the limited-edition, NIU X Razer SQi Edition e-scooter.

Unfortunately, the NIU X Razer is currently only available in China but as mentioned in the Tweet, the demand for this e-scooter was “overwhelming”, with it selling out in just 2 seconds!

What is the NIU X Razer SQi Edition electric scooter?

In its essence, the NIU X Razer SQI Edition is an electric-powered smart scooter, with a 25km/h top speed.

The e-scooter weighs more than 50KG and is ideal for the daily commute, with a range/ battery life of roughly 65km.

NIU X Razer SQi Edition electric scooter release date

The NIU X Razer SQi Edition electric scooter release date was August 2nd, 2022 in China.

There is no news about whether or not this may become available in different regions, however, it was noted that the e-scooter sold out on day one of its Chinese sales (in 2 seconds).

NIU X Razer SQi Edition electric scooter Price

On NIU’s web page, the retail price is apparently ¥9,999, which is roughly $150 USD, however if that is the actual cost, there is no way it would be so cheap in the US or Europe if it came to market.

As far as electric scooters go, the NIU X Razer SQi Edition looks incredible and has got us thinking about ditching the bus, tram, and trains altogether.
